Building a Bridge

My goal for this assignment or should i say project, is to build a bridge. My group for this assignment is Erick L., Lloyd, Diana, and Tracy. My bridge needs to consist of these things, 1.)  it needs to be 30 inches long, 2.) it has to be light weight,3.) it has to support the most heavy load. Some of the requirements for the bridge are that you have to have what the type of bridge that you chose needs. For example, if you're doing a suspension bridge, you're going to need yarn to use for the suspension.

The materials you need are, Popsicle sticks, hot glue gun, yarn, pipe cleaner, Elmer's glue, toothpicks, and tape. The budget that we need to stay with is one point five million dollars. The stuff that my group bought was one hundred fifty Popsicle sticks, fifty toothpicks, sixteen feet of yarn, endless glue gun, and tape. We chose the Popsicle sticks, because that's what we need to make the body of the bridge, the endless glue gun to attach the Popsicle sticks and because it was better to use. I chose the yarn because it would come in handy when I'm building the suspension for the bridge, i chose tape to tie up on the legs that are going to hold the bridge up from the bottom. I chose the toothpicks so it could make the middle stronger. I also chose the pipe cleaners to tie around the legs so it could hold.

I figured out what to buy when my team decided to make an arch bridge and then i thought out what materials were going to work for us in the future. It was kin of hard to add all the things together to make our budget work, because sometimes we went over the limit, but at the end it all worked out great. I chose my bridge by going to google and typed in bridges and clicked on images. to shorten our search we typed in the names of the bridges. The type of bridge I'm building is an Arch bridge combined with a suspension bridge, beam bridge, and truss bridge.

I'm building the bridge by letting my team do different stuff, i break them apart into stations for the bridge. The type of bridge we're doing is an arch, we found it by all of us deciding which bridge looked light weight and hold the most weight. The person who did the sketch was Diana and then me. The sketch has to look the same as the bridge or else we got a one on that section. The requirements for this project are the sketch, the equation which needs to have a polynomial that is used accurately to calculate the budget. The attendance which is that we can't miss more than one day, the budget that we have to use entirely without going over. Last but not least the final model of the bridge that looks like the sketch. The buying that we do is left to me, because i know what's right for my team. On building the bridge, we take turns on the glue gun, but Lloyd does the final touches with it. Diana is left to do the writing and research, Eric and I are left to put in the popsicle sticks, and tracy cleans up.

Restrictions on life how to deal?

The restrictions that Anne and her Family had to go through when they were hiding where that they couldn't go downstairs for nothing. They couldn't make noise like from eight in the morning to six at noon because the workers came. The other restrictions were that they couldn't move around a lot only if it was necessary. The restrictions that the Franks had were like important because if they didn't follow them, they would get caught by the green police.

The restrictions i have in my life are not that big to the ones that the Franks had to go through. I just have to not talk to strangers, not get into trouble, and don't make a lot of mess at home. It Freaks me out sometimes because when i don't do the stuff I'm suppose to do i get grounded.

If my family and i had to go into hiding, i would of dealt with this problem like Anne's family, i think we would get caught by the second day because i don't get along with my family that much. We would mostly get caught because of too much noise we make. You would just here stuff like "shut-up", "mom!" or "give it back or ill hit you." If we went into hiding we would just minus well make a plan b, escaping from the camp.

Anne Frank: Stage Adaptation

Stage adaption is when you turn a book (for example the diary of anne frank),into a play with dialogue and it his to be like if you're acting it out. Stage adaptation has everything a play has costumes, scenes, dialogue, and characters. It includes everything from a play that a book doesn't have. That's how both of them are different.

The play of Anne Frank begins in 1945 because thats when the war is over and the dad finds the diary of her daughter anne and starts reading it. So it's basically saying that the dad is reading the diary when Anne started to write it. It doesn't run in chronological order like scene 2 because it's barely introducing you to the play so you know where you at.

In scene 1, Mr. Frank goes back to the annex to remember everything that happens because he's going to leave from there. He finds the diary of her daughter Anne, and starts to read it. Then slowly, Anne's voice starts coming into the play. There is some dialogue between Mr. frank and Miep but it's not important.

What is drama?

Some people say that drama is acting like in plays and in theatre. others say its exaggerating too much for something small. people refer to them as drama queens. I think drama is all about acting because I'm in a drama class so i know that it's about acting. Drama is doing plays and and theatrical stuff, but not all the time. when people talk about things that happen outside like a fight thats a hole different type of story there. That type of drama is not acting, it's fighting. Another example is when there is drama in the hallways, which means that something like a fight is happening so that tells you that there's different meanings for drama. the elements of drama are like diologue, actors, set, script, a plot, historical context, and lights/sound.
